Rusty Frantz
President and Chief Executive Officer
Rusty Frantz

Rusty oversees the planning, operations, and functions of more than 25 integrated health IT (HIT) and connectivity solutions for NextGen Healthcare. His leadership helps more than 85,000 providers in ambulatory, inpatient, dental, and community healthcare share and aggregate data, collaborate, and make smarter decisions to drive better population health for increased value-based reimbursement. Rusty brings an informal management style that emphasizes innovation, transparency, and accountability. Whether engaged with our almost 3,000 employees across the company's 11 sites, or with clients, prospects, investors, or industry peers, Rusty uses his unique mix of high-tech and high-touch to set the company's HIT innovation agenda daily.

Before leading NextGen Healthcare, Rusty spent eight years in increasingly responsible roles at CareFusion Corp., a San Diego–based global medical technology corporation that provides products and services to help hospitals improve safety and care quality. Prior to Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) acquiring CareFusion, Rusty served as the senior vice president and general manager of the Global Dispensing division. The transformational medication management strategy he developed across three of the company's global brands created $1 billion in global revenue and served as a key strategic driver in the acquisition of CareFusion by BD. Until heading the division, Rusty served as the vice president of Research and Development for the Pyxis™ business unit of CareFusion and as the general manager of Pyxis™ Perioperative Solutions, a leader in hospital and health system supply management solutions.

Previously, Rusty was the chief technology officer and a cofounder of OutPurchase, a provider of cloud-based procurement solutions and services. He began his career as one of the first employees at Omnicell, a leading supplier of comprehensive automation and business analytics software for patient-centric medication and supply management across the healthcare continuum. Rusty holds a master of science in Engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor of science in Engineering from the Maine Maritime Academy.

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Scott Bostick

Scott joined NextGen Healthcare as our chief client officer in March 2016. In April 2017, he was named our chief operating officer, tasked with overseeing the coordination between financial solutions, client services and relations, and sales and marketing, to provide the best possible experience for our clients.

Scott brings more than 25 years of healthcare technology experience, client service expertise, and sales and marketing leadership to NextGen Healthcare. He is a seasoned healthcare IT executive with experience across startup enterprises, high-growth companies, and turnaround operations.

Previously, Scott spent six years at CareFusion Corp., serving in a range of roles before the company was acquired by Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in March 2015. Most recently, he served as the senior vice president of the company's Americas Commercial Operations, overseeing all of its commercial operations across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. These operations spanned $3 billion of the company's $4 billion in revenue. He was promoted from his previous position as the senior vice president of US Strategic Sales, during which time he managed enterprise sales organization as well as sales training and operations. Earlier, he was the senior vice president and general manager of the Pyxis™ Medical Dispensing division at CareFusion, directing its strategy, marketing, product management, research and development, and sales.

Scott spent nearly 10 years at Cardinal Health, progressing from regional sales leadership roles to the vice president of North American Sales and ultimately, to the general manager of Pyxis products.

He holds a bachelor of science from the University of Florida, and participated in an executive education program at Boston University.

David A. Metcalfe
Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
David Metcalfe

David joined the NextGen Healthcare leadership team as our chief technology officer and executive vice president, effective February 1, 2016. He brings 30 years of experience, including with leading large, global, cross-functional teams and developing, delivering, and supporting enterprise software solutions, having worked in the health IT (HIT) industry for the past 11 years.

Previously, David served as the vice president of Research and Development at Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a leading worldwide medical technology company. Prior to BD, he was the vice president of Product Development at CareFusion Corp., a global medical technology company that aids healthcare institutions in improving the safety and quality of care, until 2015, which was when BD acquired CareFusion. David has served in a variety of roles throughout his extensive career, most notably as the vice president of Development at Allscripts, a provider of HIT solutions, and the director of Software Engineering at Hill-Rom IT Solutions, a leading worldwide manufacturer and provider of medical technologies and related services for the healthcare industry.

David earned a bachelor of science (with honors) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Teesside University in England.

Jamie was appointed to the post of chief financial officer for NextGen Healthcare, effective March 1, 2016, bringing more than three decades of finance and software technology experience to the role.

From June 2010 to May 2015, Jamie served as the chief financial officer and an executive board member at Kofax Ltd., a software company based in Irvine, California, where he led finance, accounting, IT, real estate, treasury, audit, tax, and investor relations. He was instrumental in the completion and integration of six acquisitions and disposition of the hardware distribution business. Additionally, he oversaw the company's US initial public offering and transition from a listing on the London Stock Exchange. As a key member of management, he participated in and facilitated the strategic process resulting in the sale of its Enterprise Software division, focused on integration and transition matters.

During his tenured career, Jamie held a multitude of roles with Nuance Communications, Inc., a publicly traded software company based in Burlington, Massachusetts, including senior vice president and chief financial officer. During his time there, Nuance acquired 17 companies and completed several debt and secondary stock offerings.

Earlier, Jamie held executive positions at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., Informix Software, Inc., and Centura Software Corp. He served as a board member and the chair of the audit committee at Selectica, Inc. from 2003 to 2010. In 2010, he served as the cochairman of the board. He began his career at PriceWaterhouse LLP.

Jamie holds a master of business administration from Loyola University and a bachelor of business administration in Finance from Delta State University.

John S. Beck

John Beck

John was appointed as our chief solutions officer and executive vice president, effective August 1, 2016. He brings 28 years of progressive experience in the design, development, and deployment of complex applications in healthcare organizations.

Before joining Nextgen Healthcare, John served as the chief product officer for ConnexaHealth, a healthcare technology services and solutions company that connects and extends clinical and financial systems to empower healthcare transformation. Prior to ConnexaHealth, John served as the vice president of Revenue Cycle Solutions at Allscripts, where he was responsible for strategy, product conception, innovation, and product management for core revenue cycle solutions in both the ambulatory and acute market segments. During his 23-year tenure at Allscripts, John held a variety of senior leadership, technical, and operational positions with top-to-bottom involvement across a broad portfolio, including clinical, financial, analytical, and patient engagement assets deployed both nationally and internationally. Notably, John led the design and development teams that built Allscripts Practice Management and the Allscripts Integration Engine, which is now deployed at more than 5,000 healthcare organizations.

John graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, with a degree in Economics. John has served on a variety of community and charity boards and is actively involved with causes supporting children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental disorders. Most recently, he served as the chairman of the board for the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester and chairman of MMH Ventures.

Dr. Betty Rabinowitz

Betty Rabinowitz

Betty was appointed as our chief medical officer on April 19, 2018. She brings to this position more than 25 years of extensive clinical experience and expansive knowledge of population health and value-based practice transformation. In her role, Betty is tasked with helping NextGen Healthcare promote and improve our solutions in support of our clients’ provider performance, clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial efficiency.

Betty joined the NextGen Healthcare family in August 2017 as one of the founders and the former chief executive officer of EagleDream Health, the cloud-based analytics and population health management solutions we now know as NextGen® Population Health, which drives meaningful insights across clinical, financial, and administrative data to optimize ambulatory practice performance.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr. Rabinowitz graduated from Ben-Gurion University Medical School in Israel, where she also completed a residency in Internal Medicine. She came to the United States in 1990 for a fellowship in Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, where she became a professor of clinical medicine. In addition, Dr. Rabinowitz served as a medical director at the University of Rochester Center for Primary Care, overseeing clinical operations and population health management for a network of 28 practices and 130 primary care physicians.

Donna Greene
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Donna Greene

Donna was named our executive vice president of Human Resources on December 5, 2017, bringing more than 20 years of human resources experience to her role. Under her direction, the company transitioned to a shared services platform, whereby all employees nationwide leverage and benefit from the resources built at the corporate office by Donna and her team.

Prior to joining NextGen Healthcare, Donna was the corporate director of Human Resources for Alliance Healthcare Services, where she focused on employee services for physicians and healthcare workers in the oncology and diagnostic imaging space.

Before embarking on an HR-focused career, Donna worked in retail operations, which led to her first HR role. She began employment with Target as an HR manager and worked her way up to a regional HR professional, focused on employee relations. Later, she became the director of HR for Cendant as well as the chief people officer for a small human capital consulting firm.

Donna's work has spanned a broad array of industries and companies of all sizes. She has secured a proven track record of designing programs to continually improve the working environment, and creating policies that bring that vision to life.

Donna is currently earning a bachelor of science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Northern Arizona. She graduated with a bachelor of science in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an advanced certification in Human Resources and Business Leadership from the University of California, Irvine.

Jeffrey D. Linton
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Jeffrey Linton

Jeffrey became our executive vice president, general counsel and secretary in December 2017. Prior to joining the company, Linton served from November 2016 to November 2017 as General Counsel and Secretary of Applied Proteomics, Inc., a company that develops noninvasive, blood-based tests for monitoring and early detection of disease, where he was responsible for all legal, intellectual property, compliance, and human resources activities. Previously, Linton was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Sequenom, Inc., a life sciences company, from September 2014 to October 2016. Before joining Sequenom, Linton served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Beckman Coulter, Inc., a biomedical testing products company, from July 2011 to September 2014. He previously served in various roles with Serologicals Corporation, a company that developed, manufactured and sold life science research products and technologies, diagnostic kits and drug discovery services. His prior experience also includes various other positions in law, government and public affairs and human resources. Linton earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Butler University and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
